Conceptual Residential Rooftop Garden Design

The challenge with this project was to design an outdoor rooftop amenity garden area for a residential building in the downtown area that would not increase the overall structural load of the rooftop and remain within the limited budget. The solution was to create two different alternatives that both utilized lightweight and playful landscape concepts, giving residents an inviting outdoor atmosphere. The first alternative created a series of colorful outdoor rooms and landscape elements; the second concept utilized a more open and playful landscape aesthetic that required no structural modifications.
