As part of an overall land planning and entitlement effort for a new 2,500 unit planned community in Irvine, a community vision was created that included the preservation of existing agricultural windrows, the creation of an open space network with parks and recreational opportunities within walking distance of each community neighborhood, community park and school facilities, and connections to the adjacent open space network.
